Zachary Quinto allegedly flips out in a Toronto restaurant

The actor who plays Spock in Star Trek, Zachary Quinto, is at the center of a controversy after an incident at a Toronto restaurant on June 2, when he was accused by the establishment’s owner of being disrespectful to the staff.

A post on Instagram reads:

Zachary Quinto – an amazing Spock, but a terrible customer.

The restaurateur accused the actor of yelling at his staff, bringing an employee to tears and making the restaurant’s customers uncomfortable.

The restaurant claims that Quinto yelled at staff like a child after they failed to respond to two text messages informing them that their table was ready. Quinto allegedly refused to believe that the empty tables in the dining room were not available for him despite being politely informed that they were reserved for other customers.

The actor, who was celebrating his 47th birthday on the day of the incident, had no comment on the event at the time of writing.

The owner’s message on Instagram is clear:

“Mr. Quinto, take your bad vibes elsewhere, we have many lovely celebrities joining us at Manita but you are NOT one of them!”

Convicted felon Donald Trump banned from traveling to Canada?

Donald Trump’s recent guilty verdict could result in foreign travel restrictions in several countries for the former president… including Canada!

Donald Trump has been found guilty on all 34 counts brought against him in the highly-exposed case concerning his attempts to conceal bribe payments to Stormy Daniels during his 2016 election campaign.

Getty Images

This conviction represents a historic turning point, as Trump is the first former US president to be convicted of criminal offenses while seeking re-election. Moreover, it is unprecedented, as it could also mean the first time an American president has been banned from entering nearly forty countries, including several allies.

To protect their citizens and preserve national security, countries around the world, including G7 members such as the UK and Canada, impose strict entry criteria on individuals convicted of crimes.

Getty Images

These rules usually result in automatic denial of visas or entry permits for people with criminal convictions. They could affect Trump’s international travel, complicating both his personal and diplomatic trips in the event of re-election.

Trump awaits his sentencing, scheduled for July 11, when he could receive a sentence ranging from probation to four years in prison.

Trump joins TikTok and gains 4M subscribers in a few hours

Last Saturday evening, Donald Trump officially joined TikTok, a platform he had considered banning in the past. The former president quickly amassed over four million subscribers within hours of signing up.

The first and so far only video posted by Trump on TikTok was filmed last Saturday at a UFC party in New Jersey, in the company of UFC president and fervent Trump supporter Dana White.

In the video, as Dana White announces Trump’s arrival on TikTok, the former US president expresses that it’s an honor for him to be present. He is seen greeting fans in the arena during the fight. Being on friendly territory, Trump received a warm welcome from the spectators.

Trump has visibly changed his stance since his election campaign, having initially issued an executive order to ban TikTok in the US on national security grounds during his presidential term.

In April, President Joe Biden gave ByteDance, the company behind TikTok, nine months to sell the app or risk seeing it banned in the US. This deadline means that any potential ban would only come into force after the next elections.

Guess who’s back? Eminem’s new single takes over the world!

Eminem makes a major comeback with a preview of his eagerly-awaited twelfth album, The Death of Slim Shady: Coup De Grace, due for release this summer. His first single, Houdini, evokes the era of 2002 with sounds and visuals from the video for the mega-success Without Me, a period when his alter ego Slim Shady dominated the scene.

Since Eminem announced The Death of Slim Shady, there haven’t been many hints about the album. Houdini opens with a voicemail from Eminem’s long-time manager Paul Rosenberg, who tells him he’s listened to his album and adds:

Good f***ing luck, you’re on your own“.

This message certainly sets the tone for the rest of the song, while in the video, we see Slim Shady emerging from a 2002 portal.

EminemMusic/YouTubeVevo

The single Houdini and its music video are captivating, as Eminem reconnects with his roots through a razor-sharp narrative and a video style reminiscent of superhero comics. The clip features two versions of Eminem, one from 2002 in CGI with bleached blond hair, and the other of a present-day Eminem with brown hair and a beard.

Long-time Eminem fans will appreciate the rapper’s incisive lyrics, which evoke various personalities. He alludes to the Megan Thee Stallion shooting in 2020, mocks R. Kelly and RuPaul, and hilariously blasts Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine and his three kids!

EminemMusic/YouTubeVevo

The video is also packed with celebrities such as Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Snoop Dog and Pete Davidson. With Houdini, Eminem proves that his talent and propensity for provoking controversy are still intact.

EminemMusic/YouTubeVevo

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of his album this summer.

In the meantime, since last weekend, the planet is once again vibrating to the rhythm of Slim Shady.

The Biden family unites as Hunter Biden’s trial begins

The trial of Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, is imminent as jury selection has just begun in Delaware. The President and First Lady, Jill Biden, show unwavering support for their son during this ordeal.

PETA wants Stormy Daniels for an ad mocking Trump

PETA has taken the bold step of recruiting adult film actress Stormy Daniels for its new campaign against cruelty in horse racing.

The move coincides with the actress’ recent return to the spotlight, with her involvement in Donald Trump‘s high-profile criminal trial. The animal rights group would therefore consider capitalizing on her momentary high profile.

Getty Images

The campaign, which promises to be provocative, could also target former President Donald Trump, as several planned slogans would refer to his alleged intimate relationship with Daniels. The awareness ads would feature slogans such as:

Nobody likes a two-minute ride. Turn your back on horse racing cruelty“, humorously referring to Daniels ‘ claim that Trump had lasted only two minutes during their intimate relationship, a detail widely reported by the media.

PETA invited Daniels to take part in the project via a letter highlighting the devastating effects of horse racing.

The letter reveals alarming statistics about the high rates of injury and death at these events, with no fewer than 12 horses perishing at the Kentucky Derby last year alone.

Getty Images

Daniels was called to testify in the criminal trial of the former president, accused of falsifying business documents to conceal a $130,000 payment to the actress, in order to keep her quiet about their intimate affair in 2006.

Getty Images

PETA is convinced that, thanks to her recent visibility, Stormy Daniels could have a very important impact in the fight against animal cruelty in horse racing.

Elon Musk at the White House with Donald Trump?

According to Axios and the Wall Street Journal, Donald Trump would consider appointing controversial billionaire Elon Musk as an advisor, should he return to the White House following the fall 2024 elections.

Although rivals in the field of social networking, the two men have reportedly engaged in several discussions since March, marking a surprising turning point. These exchanges would have begun as part of Trump’s efforts to woo as many wealthy donors as possible.

Getty Images

Among the topics discussed between Trump and Musk are immigration, the economy, and the business sectors that the Tesla founder holds particularly close to his heart.

When asked several weeks ago, Musk said he had no plans to contribute financially to either Trump’s or Biden’s election campaigns, and would not commit to supporting Trump… at least for now.

Getty Images

Musk ‘s precise role and responsibilities in a potential Trump administration remain to be defined, and discussions between the two have remained confidential. However, it wouldn’t be surprising if the men found common ground considering their capitalist streak, as well as their ideas of grandeur that sometimes turn to absurdity.
