According to TMZ sources, a 911 call was made at around 3:57 a.m. on the night of March 14-15, and once on the scene, firefighters confirmed that the fire had started from some sort of back room in the star model’s residence.

UFC legend saves parents from fire, then risks his life to save his dog

Mark Coleman, a former UFC star, was visiting his parents in the house where he grew up when he was suddenly awakened in the night by his Rottweiler Hammer, who smelled smoke. Coleman’s daughter (Morgan) said that a fire had started at around 4 a.m., and Coleman was quick to take action.

Coleman wasted no time in getting out of bed, and immediately headed for his parents’ bedroom to bring them to safety. Mom and Dad are safe and sound, thanks to Coleman’s prowess.

Coleman then immediately went back inside to retrieve Hammer, who hadn’t come out of the burning house. The UFC legend certainly acted like a hero, risking his life to save Hammer from the flames… a mission that ultimately failed and landed Coleman in a hospital bed.

Coleman, 59, found himself hospitalized in Ohio, fighting for his life due to severe injuries sustained during the fire… which ravaged the entire house. At one point in the coma, his daughter made it clear that her father needed 24-hour care, indicating the seriousness of the situation.

In the case of his dog Hammer, he did not survive, being swept away by the violent flames.

Important fact: Mark’s daughter is raising funds for all the expenses involved in caring for someone in the United States through a GoFundMe. The goal is to reach $50,000.

Good news at least, Mark has woken up and is responding well to tests.

Squid Game star guilty of sexual misconduct

O Yeong-su, known for his role in the hit Netflix series Squid Game, has been found guilty of inappropriate sexual behavior.

This decision by a South Korean court marks a major turning point in his career, as the actor will be absent from Squid Game’s soon-to-be-revealed second season.

In addition to his conviction by the Suwon District Court in Seongnam, the actor was given an eight-month prison sentence with two years’ probation. In addition, he is also required by the court to undergo 40 hours of treatment.

The judge made his decision based on the woman’s testimony, as well as her diary and the therapist’s reports after the incident. The judge noted that these accounts seemed credible and would have been difficult to invent had the actor and victim not actually experienced them.

Netflix

The actor maintains that he is innocent even though the court found him guilty, and claims that his actions were misunderstood. O Yeong-su said he plans to appeal the sentence.

Squid Game season 2 is expected to air sometime in 2024 on Netflix, without O Yeong-su.

United States and Canada take on TikTok!

As governments around the world step up surveillance, lawmakers in Canada and the U.S. are taking steps to address the national security risks of the TikTok app.

The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a proposal that requires TikTok, a Chinese company owned by ByteDance, to end its ties with the app within a specific timeframe. Otherwise, the app risks being banned in the United States. The move comes in response to growing fears that China may be using TikTok to collect data and influence operations.

TikTok, with over 170 million users in the U.S., is a global sensation, and if passed, would dramatically alter the social media landscape.

The Canadian government is keeping a close eye on TikTok’s activities. In September 2023, the federal Liberals launched a national security assessment, but have yet to announce their decision publicly. The move was prompted by concerns about the security and privacy of user data.

Steven Mnuchin, the former Treasury Secretary in the Trump administration, has expressed interest in leading a group of investors to buy TikTok if the bill passes.

However, the proposed sale is fraught with uncertainties due to geopolitics and TikTok’s algorithm, developed in China.

For the time being, TikTok’s fate remains undetermined in both Canada and the United States.

Thousands of Jaromir Jagr’s bobbleheads have been stolen!

On March 14, the Pittsburgh Penguins once again paid tribute to one of their all-time greats, Jaromir Jagr, with a “bobblehead” party.

However, plans were derailed by the theft of the cargo carrying the thousands of bobbleheads of number 68!

The shipment was stolen early in the morning, or late at night, on its way to Pittsburgh. The organization finally announced the bad news via its networks early on Thursday morning (March 14).

What’s most disappointing is that this evening was bringing comfort to fans during the Pens‘ tough season.

The Pittsburgh Penguins club has therefore offered vouchers to fans who attended the March 14 game, which can be exchanged for Jagr’s bobblehead once the shipment has been recovered.
