Carols Sainz breaks the Netflix Cup trophy!

A rather unusual moment occurred when Carlos Sainz celebrated his team’s victory at a golf competition organized by Netflix, on the sidelines of the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, and featuring Formula 1 stars and PGA Tour players representing Netflix’s sports documentaries Drive to Survive and Full Swing, while Sainz smashed the trophy awarded to the victorious team!

The competition took place at the Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas last Tuesday, and it was the first ever Netflix Cup where Formula 1 stars and PGA Tour players represented Netflix’s popular sports documentaries Drive to Survive and Full Swing.

While officially celebrating his victory, along with professional golfer Justin Thomas, Sainz dropped the Netflix Cup in a rather amusing and unfortunate accident, especially when it broke into several pieces.

The winners, wearing checkered jackets to match the checkered flag theme of motor racing, were obviously in shock when Sainz accidentally dropped the Netflix Cup trophy, while also holding a bottle of champagne in his hands.

Needless to say, the incident quickly made the rounds on social networks, and the video shared by ESPN had received over two million views at the time of writing!

Nevertheless, the driver seemed very happy with his day.

“Champions of the first ever Netflix Cup! Couldn’t have asked for a better partner,” he wrote on Instagram.

The tournament was the first sporting event to be broadcast live on Netflix!

‘Friends’ stars finally pay tribute to Matthew Perry

The news of Matthew Perry’s death at the age of 54 brought sadness to the entertainment industry and his fans alike. Tributes have been pouring in ever since, but we’ve been waiting for those from his Friends collaborators, and in particular Jennifer Aniston, who shared a powerful tribute, describing him not only as a friend, but also as a brother.

The actress took to Instagram to share her deep sorrow, as did her colleagues.

In it, she reflects on grief and loss, and stresses the importance of accepting it in order to appreciate and feel the gratitude and joy that comes from a deep love for someone.

Aniston’s tribute to Perry portrays him as someone whose life depended on his ability to make people laugh, saying that if he didn’t hear the laughter, he thought he would die.

Aniston remembered that he made everyone laugh and said that rereading their old text messages made her laugh and cry at the same time. Aniston shared a photo of an old text in which Perry was happy to make her laugh.

David Schwimmer also paid tribute to his friend.

Schwimmer shared a photo of his best moment with Perry on the set of Friend, a moment that made him smile and cry at the same time.

Perry died suddenly on October 28 after an apparent accidental drowning in his Los Angeles home.

Perry, who was known for his laughter, battled addiction. He shared his experiences in his memoirs, where he confessed that he never watched Friends, as the series reminded him of his own difficulties. His personal problems contrasted sharply with his joyous performances as Chandler Bing on Friends, which ran for ten seasons between 1994 and 2004.

A toxicology report is expected after the first autopsy, which was inconclusive. The tragedy of Perry’s death has caused a profound void among those who knew and worked with him, as well as those who were familiar with the character he portrayed on television.

The entertainment industry and its fans will continue to mourn the loss of Perry, an actor who was able to light up any room with just a few words.

Truth Social suffers a $73M loss and faces an uncertain future

Truth Social, former President Donald Trump’s venture into the competitive social media landscape, continues to face financial difficulties, and, according to several reports, the platform’s losses have amounted to $73 million in just one year since its launch in early 2022.

This raises questions about its viability, Reuters reports.

The financial difficulties facing Truth Social are revealed in financial reports recently published by Digital World Acquisition Corp. According to this information, the platform achieved net sales of $1.4 million in its first year, but only $2.3 million in the first six months of 2023. The platform also suffered a loss of $50 million in 2022 and a loss of $23 million in the first half of 2023.

These figures certainly cast a shadow over the financial stability of Trump Media & Technology Group, Truth Social’s parent company.
