Usher has been confirmed in the last few hours as the lead artist for the half-time show at the next Super Bowl, and reactions are mixed.
First it was the no less polarizing Kim Kardashian who announced the news in a highly original way, in a video that was both humorous and entertaining, in which she is seen making a phone call to Usher to announce that he is the one who will get millions of people moving during this highly anticipated show.
While many applaud Usher’s choice, others don’t believe he’s of the same caliber as many of the stars who have graced the stage at the iconic Super Bowl halftime show.

As the series Suits, starring Meghan Markle, enjoys a meteoric rise in popularity on Netflix, we learn that the royal family would have had a say in the script for the woman who would become Prince Harry’s wife.

According to a recent interview with Suits creator Aaron Korsh, and reported by E! News, the royal family even managed to get the script changed on a few occasions!
“Not many things, by the way, but a few things that we wanted to do and couldn’t do, and it was a little irritating,” Korsh reveals,

One word in particular was reportedly completely banned from the script!
“So, in the episode, Mike and Rachel were going to have a thing, and as a nod to my in-laws, we were going to have her say: My family would say poppycock. And the royal family did not want her saying the word,” explains the Suits creator.

“They didn’t want to put the word poppycock in her mouth,” concludes Korsh, who explains that he was saddened to have to withdraw the word, which was intended as a nod to his own in-laws.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has reportedly given back the rights to their works to several artists linked under Bad Boy Records, his own label founded in 1993, including the estate of The Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans, The Lox, 112 and Mase, a move never before seen in the music industry.
According to TMZ, Diddy’s move comes shortly after he refused to sell the music catalog attached to the Bad Boy Records label.
Bad Boy Records is a major American label renowned for its significant impact on the hip-hop and R&B music industries. It certainly played a key role in the development of hip-hop and R&B music in the 1990s and early 2000s.

But Diddy, via Bad Boy Records, has faced legal challenges and controversy over the years, including contract issues, disputes with artists and allegations of financial mismanagement… notably with Craig Mack, Shyne and Mase.
Mase accused Bad Boy Records and Diddy of preventing him from leaving the label and signing with others during his initial retirement. Mase claimed that he had to pay a substantial sum of money to buy out his contract with Bad Boy Records.

Although the details of these controversies have been disputed over the years, they have highlighted some of the challenges and complexities of the music industry, including contractual disputes between artists and labels, as well as the blurred boundaries between the music business and artists’ personal beliefs.
