The Gala Québec Cinéma not only shines the spotlight on Quebec cinema, but also celebrates its artisans through 30 distinctive awards ceremonies.

This year, Phil Roy will have the honor of presiding over this evening tribute to the creators of Québécois cinema.

The host commented in a press release from Noovo and Québec Cinéma:

“What an honor to host the next edition of the Québec Cinéma Gala. As a big fan of Québécois cinema myself, I can’t wait to celebrate it! Yes, it’s an evening that pays tribute to the passion of our creators, but it’s also an event that’s aimed above all at those who consume Québécois cinema. Even if the cinema’s catchphrase is Silence, we’re shooting, this December 8 will be anything but silent”.

On December 8, you’ll have the opportunity to discover Phil Roy ‘s cinephile side on Noovo, as he commissions “a first-rate showcase to celebrate together the stories that make us laugh, that move us, and that help forge our identity”.

Marie-Annick Lépine asks for your help with a project of the heart

This fall, Marie-Annick Lépine, a lover of the late Karl Tremblay, opened up about a project dear to her heart.

In 2019, the lead singer of the legendary Cowboys Fringants will become co-owner of Repentigny’s Pub Randolph. On the very day of the official opening, he learned that his cancer was forwarding to his bones, yet his passion for this project where everyone could come and share a moment of play never waned.

Marie-Annick Lépine, in a Facebook post, is asking for your help to ensure the survival of the establishment.

“I’m writing to you today because I’m looking for materials for an exhibition. I know that several artists and craftsmen have created magnificent works with the image of my fat. Nicolas Smith, what a talent, came to bring me one and he’s offering me another just as beautiful (see the photo in my post). If your works aren’t sold, would you be interested in exhibiting them at Repentigny’s Pub Randolph? My man worked very hard to open this Pub Ludique, which is now a family restaurant. Like all restaurateurs, the pandemic was financially fatal. After two years of renovations and preparations, he opened his heart project in December 2019, we received the diagnosis of his incurable cancer in January 2020. On February 4, we returned from an examination to find out whether his bones had also metastasized, and the answer was yes. That same evening was the official inauguration of his “baby”… I cried all evening, he didn’t. He enjoyed every minute without letting on. Anyway, I’d like to fill a room in his memory. I’m also looking for photographers’ work. Inspiring photos that represent him well. You can send me your ideas and a photo of your work on my Messenger. As I’m always honest in life, I’d like to share with you that my initiative is to make his Pub survive. I’m trying to find ideas to keep his project going, despite his death, out of love for him. After more than five years as a couple with his lover Mélanie St-Louis, the lovebirds got married!

It was in April 2023, during a trip to the Dominican Republic, that the actor made his big proposal.

The bridal party was made up of bridesmaids in beautiful sage-colored gowns and groomsmen in classic dress.

Kim Rusk has found love again!

A few days ago, Kim Rusk made an unusual statement on CKOI ‘s Les Démones du midi.

As the segment addressed the correlation between changes in relationship status and the changing of the seasons, the host confessed that her single status was now a thing of the past!

“I was single (…) Actually, I’ve been seeing someone for a while (…) It’s not someone I know (…) But I’ve been seeing someone for a long time, and this person is extraordinary…really, really. I wasn’t ready to make an official move , and this person wasn’t ready either (…) and now we’re like (…) Well, now I’m in a relationship“, she confided on the show, taking everyone by surprise.

Indeed, it seems that Kim Rusk has found love again with a man she’s been seeing for quite some time, and who has shown great patience in getting her ready to be in a relationship.

This Love Is Blind couple welcomed their first child

The Love is Blind series, broadcast on Netflix, , is a reality show where not only do the contestants try to find love, but they also have to get engaged without even seeing each other. It’s a crazy concept, but one that’s caught on, as there are now six seasons of its American version and several repeats elsewhere in the world, in Sweden, Mexico, Brazil and Japan.

Although many couples refuse to take the plunge once they’ve made it to the altar, a few have endured, and some even have children of their own. Such is the case ofAlexa and Brennon, who met in season 3 and recently welcomed their first child!

They are now parents to a little girl named Vienna Ziva Lemieux.

“Our perfect daughter, Vienna Ziva Lemieux, born July 31, 2024. She has her mommy’s hair and her daddy’s dimples, and we couldn’t be more in love,” wrote the new mom.
