Beware, Netflix Canada is starting a major cleanup!

Netflix Canada to start slapping the fingers of customers who share their passwords with family members or friends. The streaming giant is cleaning up its act and will crack down on this illegal way of sharing.

Emails from Netflix Canada will land in Canadian users’ email to inform them of the limitations of account access by users who are not under the same roof.

It’s simple. This intervention comes as Netflix wants to increase its number of subscribers and its revenues, while the company has taken advantage for years of this password sharing so that word of mouth does its work.

The current rules state that people with a basic subscription can “purchase an additional member slot” at a cost of $7.99 per month.

Forpremium 4K HDsubscribers, who pay $20.99 each month, they can add two members who do not live in the same house.

As forstandard subscribers ($16.49 per month), they are able to add one member per month.

Of course, the $9.99 basic plans and the ad-supported plans that cost only $5.99 don’t allow you to add people who don’t live in the same house.

This announcement is the first step of this radical change, which should begin in the next few months.

This bar has built its history thanks to its huge terrace, and this one was visited to excess by students from UQAM and the CEGEP du Vieux Montréal.

However, the bar encountered several difficulties due to the pandemic, which came right after a temporary closure for renovations in the fall of 2020.

In January 2022, La Presse reported that the building was on the market for $15 million. Still according to La Presse, people were interested in buying it in order to develop a commercial and residential project.

This iconic MTL Archambault will close its doors and put 34 employees out of work

Next June, the Archambault store at the corner of Berri and Sainte-Catherine will close its doors, a news that employees learned today (January 27), reports La Presse.

Groupe Archambault would no longer be able to ignore the transformation of commercial options near Place Émilie-Gamelin, thus pushing the management not to renew the lease, which will end in June 2023.

Consumer habits, which have evolved considerably over the past few years, seem to be another factor.

This means that 34 employees will be out of work, but they will be able to apply for vacant positions among the 14 establishments still open, according to the same source.
