Montréal-Trudeau airport ranked among the worst in North America

In a study conducted by J.D. Power on airport satisfaction in North America, Montreal’s Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport did not fare well at all.

With a score of 759 points, Dorval’s Montréal-Trudeau airport ranked 25th out of 27 airports in the “large” category of this 2023 study, while the average is 789.

Tampa airport came in first with 832 points.

Needless to say, a number of criteria were taken into account for this ranking, such as terminal facilities, airport arrivals and departures, baggage reclaim, security, check-in and baggage screening, food court and retail stores.

Airports were also classified into different categories: mega (33 million passengers or more per year), large (10 to 32.9 million passengers per year) or medium (4.5 to 9.9 million passengers per year).

In the mega category, Detroit Airport takes top honors with 800 points.

And in the medium category, Indianapolis Airport topped the rankings.

In fact, according to J.D. Power, 27,147 residents of the United States and Canada completed the questionnaire to arrive at this ranking.
