For those who doubted Taylor Swift’s presence at Super Bowl LVIII, they will have been confounded.
The musical superstar did indeed arrive in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl, ready to cheer on her new flame, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
In fact, it’s with the latter’s brother, Jason Kelce, newly retired from the NFL, that Taylor Swift is set up, along with guests Blake Lively and Ice Spice!
So much for an evening that’s already pretty explosive!
Drake, true to form, is making a spectacular sports bet on the heels of tonight’s (February 11) Super Bowl.
The Canadian music superstar is placing $1,150,000 on the Kansas City Chiefs, in Bitcoin no less, arguing that he simply can’t “bet against the Swifties”.
Drake is of course referring to his musical counterpart Taylor Swift, who has been dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce for some time.
Drake is therefore picking Taylor and the Chiefs to win Super Bowl LVIII, a bet that would pay just over 2.3 million, again in Bitcoin, should he win.
So, are you Team Chiefs/Drake/Taylor, or would you like to see the San Francisco 49ers crush all those fine hopes?

Some scientists are considering updating the Saffir-Simpson scale, which has been in use for almost 50 years. They suggest adding a category 6, as studies indicate that climate change is causing a new type of superstorm, Axios reports.

Since its creation in the 1970s, the Saffir-Simpson scale has been the standard for determining hurricane intensity.
It was developed by Herbert Saffir and Robert Simpson. The scale classifies storms into five categories according to their sustained winds. Category 5 storms are those with wind speeds in excess of 157 mph that cause severe damage. A warmer climate provides more energy for storms.
Category 5 hurricanes are therefore more intense and more frequent. As a result, experts are now considering changes to the classification.
They have found that five storms, including Hurricane Patricia and super typhoon Haiyan since 2013, could fall into this new Category 6.
A CAT-6 translates into stronger winds, heavier rainfall and more devastating storm surges. The study shows a trend of increasing wind speeds since 1982. This suggests that global warming will continue to increase the frequency of Category 6 storms.
The intensity of extreme hurricanes is increasing, even if their number remains stable. Hurricanes such as Haiyan, Patricia and others have set the tone. Patricia reached wind speeds of 215 mph, an intensity never seen before.
Critics of this proposed update exist, however, and argue that the damage caused by a Category 5 storm is already so extensive that there’s no need for a new categorization.
The Saffir-Simpson scale, in its current form, only measures wind speed. This is not a good indicator of a storm’s destructive potential. The classification does not take into account factors such as storm size, storm surge and the impact of flooding, even though these are often the factors that cause the worst damage.
The devastating effects of Hurricanes Katrina and Maria highlight the limitations of current classifications for measuring the destructive power of a storm.
The experts at the National Hurricane Center are not in favor of an update, however.

According to sources close to the matter, Belichick and Patriots owner Robert Kraft decided on the departure together.
Belichick leaves behind a career record of 333 victories, including post-season games. He is second only to Don Shula. Under his reign, the Patriots won an unprecedented 17 division titles.

The Las Vegas Police Department responded to the news prior to the gruesome discovery. Marayna Rodgers had agreed to a meeting with Comanche and Sakari Harnden, 19, the 27-year-old athlete’s girlfriend, just prior to her disappearance.
The LVMPD claims that Chance Comanche and Sakari Harnden are responsible for the death of Marayna Rodgers, whose body was found in the desert in Henderson, Nevada.
Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the disappearance and killing of a 23-year-old female after executing murder plan.

The victim, a medical assistant in Washington state, had been in Las Vegas visiting friends at the time of her disappearance on December 7.

The Montreal Alouettes won the Grey Cup against all odds, after a hard-fought, electric game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The P.K. Subban Foundation ‘s Instagram account shared a touching and inspiring photo of a little girl named Mila, who overcame an autoimmune disease, and has had to learn to walk again ever since.
This all happened when she was only 17 months old.
Her great resilience has inspired many, including Subban, who has developed a close relationship with Mila.
Here is the message that accompanies the photos of the warrior Mila:
“Remember Mila? đ Sheâs been one of @subbanator âs biggest fans for years! She is also know as Mila the Warrior Princess. When she was just 17 months old, a simple cold triggered an autoimmune disease with devastating effects â within hours, she became paralyzed from the neck down and wasn’t able to breath by her own. Mila has been fighting every day since. Fortunately, she has recovered from her breathing issue. Her family, as well as numerous doctors and medical professionals, watch her sweat it out on the daily. Milaâs resilience knows no bounds. Regarding his wrist, Drouin did not hide that it does not have the flexibility it used to have, but it is fully recovered, which will allow him to start training camp to test it further.

“I’m most excited about playing with Martin between now and the start of the season. Everyone talks about the big change we had with the coach, but I think I played a game and a half under Martin St-Louis!
