Today (October 18), Singer Céline Dion was admitted to St Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, on recommendation of her doctors, reports People.
In preparation for the delivery of her twin boys, due in November, doctors have recommended her early hospital admittance as a precautionary measure.
Hoping to prevent the premature birth of the babies, the singer is heeding medical advice. Husband, Rene Angélil, denied rumours that his wife requested a caesarean delivery for October 22.
Earlier today, the hospital released a statement: “Ms. Céline Dion has been admitted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida for observation at the recommendation of her doctors. She has been admitted to prevent the early delivery of her babies, which is the standard of care for any patient with twin pregnancy in this clinical setting.”
Popular songstress Dion, 42, married longtime manager, René Angélil, 68, in December 1994, and they have one son, René-Charles Dion Angélil, 9.
