Celine Dion talks about motherhood

Pop singer talks about motherhood and the twins’ first Christmas.

French-Canadian pop singer Céline Dion and her new twins Nelson and Eddy, born on October 23, are featured on the cover of the next issue of Hello magazine along with a 20 pages of family photos.

Dion, 42, and husband René Angelil, 68, have selected a number of publications in which to introduce their new twins including 7 Days, Hello Canada, People and Paris Match – which should all hit the stands tomorrow.

The twins were named Eddy, after Dion’s favourite Algerian songwriter Eddy Marnay, and Nelson, after former South African President Nelson Mandela

The entertainer gave an interview to each publication about her new little bundles of joy, each of them is beginning to develop their own personality, “Nelson is Angelil. Eddy is Dion,” she told Hello.

“I don’t know how women do it.” The busy mother talked about how overwhelming twins can be, “I nurse both babies at the same time … I’m in my pyjamas until lunchtime and there’s no time to shower!"

"Every day René asks, ‘Did you sleep well?’ I’m like, ‘You must be kidding! There is no sleep!" As for the reaction of their eldest son, René-Charles, 9, it seems that big brother is very affectionate with the new family members, and wants to hug them and be around them.

Dion will be returning to Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas for a three-year run beginning 15 March 2011. With rehearsals starting up in January, the show will feature, "all the songs from my repertoire that people want to hear" and will contain a selection of music from classic Hollywood films.
