Céline Dion to sing at Oscar Awards

French-Canadian songstress will make her sixth Oscar appearance.

French-Canadian songstress Céline Dion, 42, will be taking the stage at the upcoming Academy Awards this Sunday, February 27, live from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, reports E!Online.

Although the news has not yet been officially confirmed by Oscar producers, it has been announced to Radio-Canada by a reliable source, her husband and manager René Angelil at Radio-Canada.

She will sing the song Smile during the memorial tribute, Hollywood’s annual recognition of film greats who died in the previous year.

The Oscars represent Dion’s return to the stage, after the birth of her twin sons, Eddy and Nelson, last October. On March 15, she will begin her newest series of Las Vegas shows, which will be comprised of greatest hits from film soundtracks.
