Yesterday, the Canadiens played a very good game against the Golden Knights. For those of you who stayed up late in Quebec, you weren’t disappointed.
As Martin St-Louis said: it was perhaps the best game under his watch (and he wasn’t lying). Despite the loss, Montreal wasn’t dominated, and in a year of “rebuilding” (it doesn’t look like it right now), holding off the defending champions and the NHL’s best team is very encouraging.
But that game is behind the players, and tonight they took advantage of their night off to go and see game number four of the World Series. For the occasion, the Diamondbacks hosted the Rangers, who led the series 2-1.
A bitter-tasting game for Blue Jays fans Brendan Gallagher and Nick Suzuki, who had to watch Gabriel Moreno and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (two former Jays members).
In addition to Suzuki and Gally, Cole Caufield, Jake Allen, Michael Pezzetta, Mike Matheson, Jake Evans, Alex Newhook, Joel Armia, Sean Monahan, Jordan Harris, Johnathan Kovacevic, Josh Anderson, Tanner Pearson, Cayden Primeau and Christian Dvorak were in attendance. Speaking of the latter, he won’t play Thursday against Arizona, but is eligible to return to action Saturday against St. Louis.
Will he be in the line-up? We hope so.

For a field hockey player, money isn’t the issue when it comes to attending a World Series game. The problem is time. During the MLB Finals, field hockey players are at the beginning of the season and don’t necessarily have time to go to a game.
So, in 2023, it came as no surprise that Montreal was passing through the desert. For the players who aren’t at the game, they missed a great opportunity. Maybe they just don’t like baseball, either…
It’s nice to see the guys pulling together like this. You can feel the team chemistry. And in the images captured by TVA Sports, we see Caufield, who is sitting behind his captain, talking with him. Of course… #Inséprabale
A few players can also be seen wearing Diamondbacks caps. Let’s hope they’re not too disappointed to see “their team” get CRUSHED by the opposition. At the time of writing, the home side, who I remind you are behind in the series, are not in the game at all. To give you an idea, after the third inning, the score was 10-0 in favor of the Rangers.
A horror film, as Jeremy Filosa would say.
Horror movie on this Halloween night for DBacks fans.

Marcus Semien, another former Jays, left his mark by producing several points.
He set the tone for the game.

If this keeps up, the Diamondbacks will ban all CH players from now on. #Luck
In addition to the Montreal players, several other celebrities were in Phoenix for the sporting event. Former MLB stars CC Sabathia, Derek Jeter, David Ortiz, Randy Johnson and Albert Pujols were there.
Coyotes head coach André Tourigny was also on hand. He and his team, who face the CH tomorrow, crushed Connor Bedard’s Blackhawks 8-1 last night. They’ll be waiting with bated breath for Martin St-Louis’ team.

Should Primeau be in net against the Coyotes?

– I don’t think so.
Will Xhekaj have a hard time staying in the CH lineup as the team matures?

Will Montreal’s LPHF team be called the Echo?
“There’s nothing confirmed” -@coachdaniele
It’s also possible that the team won’t have a name in the first season.
