Stella McCartney is impressed by other women designers.
The British sartorialist admits she enjoys being part of a big crop of females who want to dress other women – including Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen and Isabel Marant.
She said: "I champion other women. I think they are impressive. I think the journey of being a woman is interesting too, and I’m on that journey with everyone else."
However, 40-year-old Stella’s preferred job now is that of being a mother to her children Miller, six, Bailey, four, Beckett, three, and 14-month-old Reiley – who she had with husband Alasdhair Willis – and she admits she doesn’t buy into the party-lifestyle some other celebrities do.
She told British Vogue: "Sometimes, someone will go, ‘Come on, let’s have another tequila shot,’ and I’ll have one, and then it will be 11 o’clock and I’ll know I’ve got to get up for the kids, and I’m not even p**sed yet and I’ll think, ‘Why bother?’. Sometimes I wish I were less sensible."
