Channing Tatum is in talks for ‘Bad Romance’.

The 33-year-old actor is in early negotiations to star and produce alongside Jonathan Levine in his new film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Levine will direct the movie from a script he penned himself, while Tatum will take on the role of producer with his Iron Horse Entertainment partner Reid Carolin.

Details about the script and cast are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, the ‘Magic Mike’ actor is set to voice the lead character in Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Book of Life’, alongside Zoe Saldana.

Jorge Gutierrez is directing the movie and also wrote the screenplay with the help of Doug Langdale.

‘Brokeback Mountain’ and ‘Babel’s Gustavo Santaolalla is composing the film’s original score and soundtrack, which is said to provide ”a fresh take on popular pop songs”.

The cast will be rounded out with Cheech Marin, Hector Elizondo and Placido Domingo, as well as Ana de la Reguera (‘Eastbound and Down’), Eugenio Derbez (‘Instructions Not Included’), comedian Gabriel Iglesias (‘Stand-Up Revolution’), radio personality Ricardo Sanchez and Danny Trejo.
