Daily News reports that Charlie Sheen will be charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor assault after holding a knife to his wife’s throat and threatening to kill her on Christmas Day.
Authorities will file a formal complaint against the 44-year old actor today (February 5) or next Monday (February 8).
It is expected that 33-year old Brooke Mueller will appear in court alongside her husband.
According to experts, it is unlikely that Sheen will get any prison time if found guilty. He will more likely have to pay a fine of up ot 100,000 (US).
Mueller signed herself into a rehab centre, not to deal with addiction but to get some psychological therapy and stress reduction. Doctors told her to get lots of R&R after being hospitalized with pneumonia in January.
