Charlie Sheen and Wife Seek Anger Management

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are seeking counselling after their violent Christmas altercation.

Sheen and his wife have decided to consult a therapist after their holiday fracas.

Sheen was arrested on Friday (December 25) for domestic violence in Aspen, Colorado. He was released after paying $8 500 bail, but is scheduled for a court appearance on February 8.

"They were fighting at a dinner in a friend’s house and it continued until the next morning. Both of them were drinking and neither was supposed to be. They both have histories of alcohol abuse and have made every effort to stop. But things got out of hand," a close source to Mueller told People.

Sheen, 44, was arrested for assault and for making threats. "Charlie went right back to Los Angeles after he was released from jail. Both he and Brooke will undergo counselling and Charlie will get anger management counselling," added a source.

For now, divorce is not being considered. Brooke Mueller will be spending some time in Aspen to let the dust settle. Contrary to reports, Sheen and Mueller, who are parents to nine-month-old twins, Bob and Max, were not separated before the quarrel broke out.
