Charlie Sheen offered to pay for Lohan’s dress

Charlie Sheen arranged for celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch to style Lindsay Lohan for the amfAR Gala earlier this month and the generous actor even offered to pay half towards her designer dress.

Charlie Sheen offered to help Lindsay Lohan pay for the dress she wore to the amfAR Gala.

The 47-year-old actor has struck up a friendship with the troubled 26-year-old starlet since shooting ‘Scary Movie 5’ with her and came to her rescue just hours before the glitzy annual event – which kicks off New York Fashion Week – took place on February 6.

Sheen personally called up stylist to the stars Phillip Bloch to ask him to style Lindsay for the night and he told the fashion expert he would even split the bill 50/50 if necessary.

Bloch told Us Weekly magazine: "Never in a business like this do you see a celebrity pay for another celebrity. He’s very considerate."

Bloch agreed to work his magic on Lohan for the gala, and she arrived on the red carpet looking stunning in a nude-and-silver beaded fringe gown by Theia.

Other stars at the amfAR Gala included Chloe Sevigny, Cee-Lo Green, John Legend and Woody Allen and the night raised $2.3 million for AIDS research.

This is not the first time kind-hearted Charlie has given Lindsay a helping hand.

The ‘Anger Management’ star gave the actress $100,000 after she allegedly didn’t receive all the money she was supposed to be paid for her part in ‘Scary Movie 5’, and she used the cash to pay off some a $233,904 tax bill.

The actor has repeatedly praised Lindsay – who has endured a multitude of legal problems and has battled substance abuse issues in recent years – and is confident she will get her life on track.

The reformed hellraiser previously said: "She’s terrific, I mean she’s going through a lot of stuff. But she’s smart and super fabulous and I think will come out on top eventually."
