According E! Online, the actress may be starring in Mad Max 4. Even though a formal offer hasn’t been given, it seems that director George Miller has Theron in mind in a leading role.
In 2007, Miller announced that he was working on a fourth Mad Max instalment. He mentioned that Mel Gibson was too old to play the new hero, but didn’t think he was interested anyway.
For Theron’s co-star, Miller was considering British actor Tom Hardy, who was featured in Black Hawk Down.
In the meantime, Charlize Theron will share the screen with Viggo Mortensen in The Road, opening on November 25.
