The South African actress will be playing Viggo Mortenson’s wife in this film adaptation of the novel by Cormac McCarthy. Although her role is limited in the movie, Theron accepted the part because she enjoyed the book. The actress also expressed that she likes working with producer Nick Wechsler. The two worked together in 2000 on the movie The Yards.
Filming for this movie begins next month. In the meantime, Theron is wrapping up the shooting of the movie The Burning Plain. Other projects she has done recently include, Hancock, co-starring Will Smith, and Sleepwalking, which she produced.
