The rock veterans decided to follow the new trend in the music industry by distributing their new album themselves, with the help of Amazon.com.
The new album entitled, The Latest, will be offered directly from their Website, CheapTrick.com, and on Amazon.com for a period of one month.
Fans can order the album in advance to receive it on the official release date, June 23, which is the same day that Cheap Trick will begin a summer tour with Def Leppard and Poison in Camden, New Jersey.
All those who buy merchandise or a ticket for the tour will receive an email notifying them of the album’s availability.
Cheap Trick is seeking to establish direct contact with their fans by taking charge of their album’s distribution.
