Attorneys managing Jackson’s assets filed a request yesterday (July 23) at a Los Angeles Court, asking that a certain amount of money be paid to Katherine Jackson to take care of the singer’s children.
"The minor children were completely and wholly financial dependent upon their father, Michael Jackson, and currently have no financial resources to provide for their care and support," the lawyers stated.
Katherine Jackson’s name appeared on this request, since she is the children’s legal guardian. Apparently, Mrs. Jackson was also financially dependent on her King of Pop son, and was living off a meagre social insurance premium as her main source of income.
The hearing for this case is set for August 3.
