Chocolate prevents strokes

Many studies have been done over the last few years on the link between chocolate consumption and its benefits for heart health. Until now, few of these studies have been made public.

19,357 people aged 35-67 years with no history of heart attack or stroke participated in one of these types of studies for eight years, reports Top Health.
 
Studies show that consumption of dark chocolate in particular decreases the risk of cardiovascular disease and prevents strokes.
 
Chocolate lowers blood pressure by improving blood circulation and reducing inflammation.

Researchers found that those who ate the most chocolate had lower blood pressure, thus being less exposed to risk of heart attack and stroke.
