To celebrate its 150th anniversary, the House of Chopard decided to do a new take on one of its most famous watches, Happy Sport.
Called Happy Sport 150th Anniversary Edition, this special edition comes in two versions that are only available in limited edition.
The watchmaker chose to make this anniversary edition watch in the company’s favourite colour, blue. The two new models have a grey dial and five mobile diamonds in the shape of a star.
The first model has an alligator strap and a stainless steel bezel. Only 1,000 watches are being made.
The second model is even more valuable. It has a satin strap and a diamond or sapphire bezel. Only 500 of these models are being made.
Chopard’s website describes the Happy Sport model which first appeared in 1993: "Happy Sport was an instant hit. Innovatively combining stainless steel with diamonds, it won hearts everywhere. Contemporary, urban, sophisticated, exuberant, conquering, resistant and sporty, Happy Sport blithely unites a host of qualities that have earned it worldwide success."
