When the two artists headlined Reggae Sunfest last weekend in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Chris Brown joined Usher onstage during Usher’s performance on Saturday, July 24.
Brown had taken the stage by storm during his concert the previous day.
By making this gesture, Usher has allowed Brown has to make a step towards rehabilitating his public and artistic reputation after his fit of rage toward his former girlfriend, Rihanna, the night before the the 2009 Grammy Awards had made him persona non grata with the arts community.
Not only did Usher demonstrate to those present that he supported Brown, the many hugs exchanged onstage between the two artists seem to demonstrate the sincerity of the friendship between Usher and his former sidekick.
In 2005, Chris Brown recorded a song featuring Usher that appeared on the soundtrack of the film In The Mix .
