American R&B singer Chris Brown has been visiting the studio recording with rapper M.I.A. and record producer Polow da Don, working on some unknown collaboration, reports MTV.
Brown himself broke the news on Twitter. "Was in the studio with the incredible M.I.A. and Polow," he wrote. "Amazing artist[s]! Real talent!"
Polow confirmed the news through his own Twitter feed as well: "In the lab wit the great Chris Brown and the incredible M.I.A. Thank you dear lord!"
"I’ve waited on this moment my whole career … I feel this song in my soul!" added Polow.
M.I.A. provided fewer details but jumped into the conversation with a cryptic: "oooops im at the studio shootin hoops with boys."
The trio didn’t make it clear what they were working on. Some speculate it could be a bonus track meant for a re-release of Brown’s new album F.A.M.E., which came out last month, or for a follow-up to M.I.A.’s 2010 album MAYA — or the song could be meant for a new project entirely.
