Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty

Chris Brown entered a plea of not guilty yesterday in a Los Angeles court.

Yesterday afternoon (April 6), Brown pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and threatening the life of Rihanna during an altercation that took place on February 8, reports People.

Rihanna was not required to be in court yesterday, but the judge has set a trial date for April 29 on the matter.

If found guilty, Brown may be sentenced to more than four years in a maximum security prison.

Rihanna’s lawyer, Donald Etra, said that the singer is still in Barbados with her family. "Nothing’s changed with regard to Rihanna’s stance toward this case … She will testify if subpoenaed and will do everything that’s required of her to do," Etra added.
