Chris Brown’s probation revoked

Chris Brown’s probation has been revoked but he has been released and ordered to appear in court in August when the judge will decide whether he has violated his probation, which could see him sentenced to four years in prison.

Chris Brown’s probation has been revoked.

The 24-year-old singer – who is still on probation for beating his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 – was in court earlier today (15.07.13) to hear a judge make the decision, but instead of sending him to custody he was released and ordered to appear in court in August, TMZ reports.

The judge will then use next month’s to-be-determined court date to decide whether the ‘Beautiful People’ hitmaker is guilty of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s allegations that he violated his probation.

In the meantime, Brown, who faces up to four years in prison if he is found to have violated his probation, will be able to respond against the claims.

The District Attorney filed a request to revoke the singer’s probation after he was recently charged for allegedly leaving the scene of a crime without exchanging proper information and for driving without a valid licence, in connection with a minor car crash in Los Angeles.

Earlier today, Brown went on a Twitter rant insisting he didn’t do anything wrong in the "so called hit and run".

He tweeted: "I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run, I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C’mon!!

"Love you Team Breezy. I hope people can actually see the truth. (sic)"
