Variety reports that Chris Columbus’ company, 1492 Entertainment, has acquired the film rights to the horror comic strip, Welcome to Hoxford, by Ben Templesmith.
The film will tell the story of a psychiatrist who must team with his profoundly troubled patients to escape from insane creatures.
Columbus will produce the project with his partners from 1492 Entertainment, Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe.
In the meantime, Columbus is producing and directing the film I Love You, Beth Cooper, which hits the big screen on July 10, but before then, another project of his, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, opens on May 22.
