Chris Cornell’s compilation album due out November 21

Songbook includes recordings from musician’s ongoing acoustic tour.

American rock musician Chris Cornell will launch his career-spanning Songbook collection on November 21 – just in time for the holidays, reports Contact Music.

A collection of live recordings from his recent acoustic Songbook Tour, the album’s 16 tracks will include Cornell’s solo hits as well as a few recordings from his time with Soundgarden – such as their breakout hit Black Hole Sun – Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog.

The LP also includes two special cover tracks – Led Zeppelin’s Thank You and John Lennon’s Imagine – as well as Cornell’s latest single, The Keeper, which he recorded for the Machine Gun Preacher soundtrack. The album additionally includes a never-before-released track, Cleaning My Gun, which fans can currently stream on Cornell’s official website.

The album arrives in stores on November 21. Fans who attend his solo Songbook Tour will be eligible for a free digital copy, included in the ticket price.

Cornell rose to success with Soundgarden in the ’80s before leaving the band in 1997. Reunited in 2010, the band has since hit the road on their Big Day Out tour. The group will play tomorrow (October 26) in Texas before heading to New Orleans, Louisiana for an appearance at the Voodoo Festival on October 28.
