Chris Pratt cast in Cowboy Ninja Viking

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ actor Chris Pratt has been cast in ‘Cowboy Ninja Viking’, which is based on A.J. Lieberman and artist Riley Rossmo’s graphic novel.

Chris Pratt is to star in ‘Cowboy Ninja Viking’.

The 35-year-old actor, who recently appeared in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘The Lego Movie’, has also told Universal Pictures he approves of David Leitch and Chad Stahelski directing the movie, Variety reports.

The proposed movie is based on A.J. Lieberman and artist Riley Rossmo’s graphic novel, which follows a man who is put under government control as he is turned into a super-soldier with the attributes of a cowboy, a ninja and a viking.

Universal Pictures has chosen to accelerate the project in recognition of the fact Pratt is now among Hollywood’s most sought-after performers.

Earlier this week, he was linked to a new ‘Indiana Jones’ movie.

Disney – which bought the rights to the popular franchise from Paramount in 2013 – are apparently keen to cast Pratt in the role of the archaeologist, who was previously played by Harrison Ford.

Plans for the film are still at an early stage, but it’s thought Pratt is seen by the studio as an ideal candidate for the part, having made a positive impression as a leading man in Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.
