Chronicles Sequel in the Works

Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media are planning a sequel to the 2005 success, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.  The film has already earned an impressive $637.8 million at box offices world-wide.

In the second film, we will meet again with the Pevensie family, when they return to Narnia 400 years later to rejoin their friends in the enchanted world.  However, now the kingdom is being ruled by a new king, and the Pevensie family attempt to bring happiness back to Narnia.

Prince Caspian, published in 1951, is the second book of a 7-book series from C.S. Lewis.  The screen adaptation has not yet been written, however production will still begin some time this year, and the film is expected to be in theatres by Christmas, 2007.
