Clash of the Titans Gets New Scenes

The film Clash of the Titans will be having a few additional scenes added before the flick hits theatres.

Warner Bros. has decided to reshoot a few scenes that have already been captured, as well as adding new material.

Directed by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk, The Transporter 2), the film is based on Greek mythology and is a remake of a 1981 film.  The movie stars Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Gemma Aterton.

Worthington, who plays Perseus in the film, confirmed the news to the Los Angeles Times.  The cast and crew will be back to work in January to modify some scenes and get new shots.  Additionally, with an increased budget, producers are considering rolling out a 3D version of the film to get a bigger bang at the box office.

In recent months, 3D films have been very popular.  Avatar has been a huge success since its release last week, as well as the animated film A Christmas Carol.

The Clash of the Titans will roll into theatres on March 26, 2010.
