Clinique re-releases popular Happy in Bloom fragrance

Limited edition perfume makes a return to the spring 2011 collection.

In honour of spring’s approach, Clinique is releasing a new limited edition of its fragrance Happy in Bloom, reports Basenotes.

The spring 2011 addition to the Happy product line has fruit-inspired top notes with flowery heart notes of white freesia, lily of the valley and mimosa, over base notes of transparent amber and white wood.

The fragrance will be available through Clinique boutiques in February, and sold at Clinique counters in major Canadian retailers, such as Holt Renfrew, Sephora, Sears and The Bay.

Limited editions of Happy in Bloom were released in 2006 and 2008 and still remain popular. This year, the product gets a makeover with a flowery new bottle, but the beloved fragrance remains untouched.

Founded in 1968, Clinique was launched as the first line of cosmetics to be allergy-tested and guided by dermatologists.

Every product is tested 12 times on 600 people, in order to ensure it does not cause any allergic reactions. Now a subsidiary of cosmetics giant Estée Lauder, the company produces a wide array of cosmetics, fragrances, skincare products and toiletries available in over 139 countries.

The parent company, Estée Lauder, was formed in 1946. Clinique was the second brand to be added to the company, following the men’s Aramis fragrance and grooming collection in 1964.
