Owen had a lot of difficulty while making his latest film, in which he plays a single father, because his own father abandoned him when he was only three years old, reports Orange News.
In the film The Boys are Back, the actor plays a sports writer who is forced to raise his child alone following his wife’s death. Owen revealed that the film reminded him of an encounter he had with his father, a country singer, when he was 19. He recalled, "It was a very bizarre experience, looking at someone you’ve never known and going, ‘Oh my God, that’s my father.’"
The star’s brief encounter resulted in a short-lived relationship with his dad, but it didn’t last long, as they are no longer in touch. Clive Owen is a father himself. He has two children, Hannah and Eve, with his wife, Sarah-Jane Fenton.
