Coldplay, that has been nominated in four categories, and 50 Cent that has two nominations, will do a performance at the award ceremony.
These two entertainers will be joining others such as Shakira, Ludacris, Mariah Carey, The Killers, Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson and Green Day.
The MTV Music Awards are airing on August 28.
