Fans of the English alternative band who are desperate to hear the new album can now get a sneak preview with Coldplay’s just-released video of their new Christmas song. The group hopes Christmas Lights will bring a little joy into people’s hearts this holiday season.
Coldplay is currently in the studio with super producer Brian Eno working on their follow-up and fifth studio album to 2008’s smash hit Viva La Vida. They used part of that studio time to record their holiday gift to fans, which is sure to get heavy radio play from now until the end of the year.
For several years now in England, an annual epic battle has raged for the position of top holiday song. Increasingly dominated by reality show, The X Factor, rival anti-X Factor fans are eager for Coldplay’s contribution.
