English alt rockers Coldplay continue to tease fans about their mysterious new album, which is expected out soon, reports Clash Music.
After posting a series of cryptic tweets on Twitter, the band has released a short video snippet that may or may not be related to the as-yet-unnamed album. The 30-second clip posted on YouTube features a very simple, repetitive melody played on a synthesizer, while various animated images and words unfold on screen.
"But my heart is beating and my pulses start. Cathedrals in my heart. And we saw oh this light. I swear you, emerge blinking into to tell me it’s alright. As we soar walls, every siren is a symphony and every tear’s a waterfall," the words read.
Having worked with Coldplay on their last album, the hugely successful Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), composer-producer Brian Eno is back in the producer’s seat for the new album. Rumors suggest the new album may have a new, more electronic sound, but nothing has been confirmed as yet.
Perhaps more will be revealed when the first official single, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, is released on June 3.
