Colin Farrell as Johnny Depp’s Substitute

Colin Farrell could be replacing Johnny Depp in The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.

After it was announced that Depp would not be shooting The Man Who Killed Don Quixote due to scheduling conflicts, director Terry Gilliam is now considering Colin Farrell.

Since 2000, Gilliam has been planning on directing a film on the Spanish literary legend, Don Quixote, and Depp has been attached to the project. However, a series of mishaps delayed production, and now Depp is no longer available.

A source revealed to Britain’s Daily Express that Gilliam is leaning towards recruiting Colin Farrell. The director is a big Colin Farrell fan, and thinks that he is one of the select few who could replace Johnny Depp.

Depp and Farrell helped Gilliam wrap up The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus after Heath Ledger’s death. The American opening date of this film has not been confirmed.

Colin Farrell is currently in London filming London Boulevard with Keira Knightley.
