Irish actor Colin Farrell says he is so happy to have quit drinking, reports Starpulse. He says he can appreciate his career more now that he is sober.
The 33-year old actor has gained a reputation as a hard partier but he appears to be growing up.
Farrell admits that he turned to alcohol because he did not think he was worthy of his successful Hollywood career. He has since realized that leaving alcohol behind allows him to look at his career differently.
He says, "(Giving up alcohol has) put more focus on my career. I’m a lot more appreciative over what I have. For years I was adamantly trying to show that I wasn’t worthy or that I didn’t know why it happened to me. I enjoy it a lot more now."
Farrell is the father of two sons. 6-year old son James was born during his time with model Kim Bordenave. Henry Tadeusz Farrell was born October 7, 2009. His mother is Polish actress Alicja Bachleda.
