Colin Firth Not a Fan of Plastic Surgery

According to British actor Colin Firth, actors who turn to Botox and plastic surgery are a disaster.

The Mamma Mia! star finds that some actors who have gone under the knife have wound up with "catastrophic" results. For Firth, these facial modifications prevent actors from truly expressing themselves.

The 48-year-old actor shared his opinion over the airwaves on BBC Radio 5. He expressed, "Why on earth would you take a violin and make the strings so that they don’t vibrate?," after which he added, "Your face is supposed to move if you’re going to act."

The Dorian Gray star is not keen on Botox and other anti-aging procedures in Hollywood, though he is not about to preach to people why to avoid them, especially if they can "afford it and don’t mind the pain," he said.
