Artistic director Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons is planning to put her creative spin on the handbags made by the popular brand, Louis Vuitton.
A six-handbag collection will be made with a touch of fun, with fringes, loops and animal-shaped pendants.
The collection will be launched in September and will be presented in the temporary Louis Vuitton boutique to be set up at Tokyo’s Comme des Garçons store.
This collaboration is part of the Japanese-inspired line by Louis Vuitton, including products designed by Takashi Murakami.
Rei Kawakubo has also designed a line for H&M to be launched in November.
