Concert for Bangladesh Now Available on DVD

The Concert for Bangladesh done on August 1, 1971, will soon be released on DVD.

This show was an initiative of former Beatle George Harrison.  It will be released along with a CD on October 25.

For collectors, a deluxe edition will be available.  In this edition, there is a handwritten note by George Harrison, a postcard, a sticker, and a poster from the original show.

Concert for Bangladesh was presented at Madison Square gardens in New York to raise money for Bangladesh refugees.

Among the artists that participated in this event were George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Ravi Shankar, Billy Preston, Badfinger and Leon Russell.

The Concert for Bangladesh Revisited 2005 DVD, presents 99 minutes of the actual show, additional songs, and a 45 minute documentary.
