Copenhagen hotel caters to women

Bella Sky Comwell introduces Europe’s first female-only floor.

The Hotel Bella Sky Comwell in Copenhagen, Denmark is set to be the first hotel in Europe to reserve an entire floor exclusively for women when it opens next month, reports Conworld.

Nicknamed Bella Donna, the women’s-only section of the hotel will be off-limits to men, accessible only with women’s keycards. As well as helping women feel more secure, the rooms on the floor are specially designed to meet their needs, based on the results of a survey of female business travelers.

According to the survey, the bathroom is the most essential part of a woman’s hotel room, and must include a large tub, good shower, organic toiletries, a hairdryer and a magnifying makeup mirror.

The rest of the room should be light and airy, with easy-to-operate electronics, full-length mirrors, extra hangers in the wardrobe and fresh plants. The women also requested their own lounge area, serving healthy beverage options like café latte, green tea and freshly squeezed juice.

While the women were open to the idea of dining alongside male guests in the main restaurant, they requested a menu featuring organic food and the ability to pick and choose from the listed dishes.
