Love admits to problems between her and Frances Bean, her only child with husband Kurt Cobain. This is why she decided to buy a house nearby where her 17-year old daughter could live alone, reports Orange News.
The rocker was going to hand over the keys last December but was instead surprised when Frances Bean asked a court to be placed in the temporary custody of her paternal grandmother and aunt.
Love was handed a temporary restraining order preventing her from contacting her daughter just days after she lost legal custody.
The star told ClashMusic, "She wasn’t very happy living with me, that’s OK – she’s 17. Lenny Kravitz’s daughter has her own apartment at sixteen, it’s fine. As long as it’s around the corner from me and I can have some supervision, it’s fine."
Love says she was shocked by the restraining order, adding, "I did nothing. Um, I curse and I swear and I smoke and I take an anti-depressant. That’s what it said. It’s Los Angeles County Municipal Court. It’s why I got us out of there and moved to New York. It’s ridiculous."
