Courtney Love shoots down idea of Hole reunion

Singer says no to the idea of getting the band back together.

With Hole’s four original members gathered together for an event at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, lead singer Courtney Love was quick to rule out the possibility of a musical reunion, reports Clash Music.

Former bandmates Courtney Love, Eric Erlandson and Melissa Auf der Maur were at MoMA on Monday (March 28) for the New York premiere of drummer Patty Schemel’s documentary film, marking the first time the band had been in one place since recording the album Celebrity Skin in 1998.

"We haven’t really discussed [a reunion] between each other much," said Schemel, when a fan asked whether the band would be getting back together. "I’m not against it. If everything’s great, who knows? There’s been little rumblings."

Love was much more definitive in her scornful response. "Rumblings!" she said to Schemel. "There’s no rumblings. You’re making a rumbling."

"I do want to say that if something’s not relevant, I don’t want to do it," Love explained to the crowd during a Q&A session following the film premiere. "As much I love Patty, and I would play with her in five seconds, but if it’s not moving forward, I don’t want to do it. That’s just my thing."
