People reports Emporio Armani brand unveiled its new advertising campaign featuring sexy soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Italian fashion house is taking advantage of the craze surrounding the World Cup of Soccer on right now in South Africa. It released the first images of Ronaldo’s campaign for Emporio Armani Underwear and for Armani Jeans’ Fall/Winter 2010-2011 collection.
These pictures were taken in Madrid where the 24-year-old plays forward for Real Madrid. He is also team captain for Portugal at the World Cup.
The ad campaign will launch in several cities in July, including New York, Los Angeles and London, as well as online.
A short film and online commercial featuring Cristiano Ronaldo will also appear on the Internet in September.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the now the highest paid player in soccer history. He signed an $80 million contract to transfer from Manchester United in England to Real Madrid in Spain. It equals out to $11 million a year for the next six years.
