The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun singer is being sued for having cancelled a week of shows in Germany, reports Starpulse.com.
Moderne Welt claims that the star signed a deal to give seven concerts in Germany in July, but that she decided to withdraw from the contract one week later.
The plaintiff insists on the fact that Lauper’s manager gave the company permission to advertise the shows. However, they were later informed that the deal was off, due to the singer’s prior film and television engagements.
The German organisation is now asking Lauper for $800 000 US compensation.
