According to Variety magazine, Craig is now officially the highest earning ‘Bond’ ever. Casino Royale was a remake of a 1967 film. Since its release in November, the film has earned more than $448 million.
Pierce Brosnan held the previous record as the most successful Bond in 2002. The film Die Another Day took in $431 million.
Despite much criticism after naming Craig, 38, for the role, the movie was released to rave reveiws with the actor as Agent 007.
