Daniel Craig recalls on-screen fight with Dave Bautista

‘Spectre’ star Daniel Craig has revealed he suffered real-life injuries during his on-screen fight with Dave Bautista.

Daniel Craig suffered real-life injuries during his on-screen fight with Dave Bautista.

The 47-year-old actor stars opposite the former mixed martial artist in the new Bond movie ‘Spectre’, and Daniel has given a behind-the-scenes insight to one of the movie’s most dramatic action sequences.

He shared: ”We rehearsed for about six weeks on this scene.

”We knew the fight inside out (but) when you’re shooting it, it’s very, very intense and, you know, you get hurt.”

Although Daniel found the scene to be ”incredibly exciting” to shoot, it also led to him suffering a serious knee injury, which ultimately led to a delay in filming.

He told ET Canada: ”I smacked Dave on the nose, my knee went in it, and I had to get some surgery done, but you gotta laugh because your heartrate is going and it’s an incredibly exciting thing to shoot.”

Meanwhile, ‘Spectre’ producer Barbara Broccoli said recently that the film franchise is ”planning to hold on to” Daniel for as long as possible.

However, the actor has previously suggested he’s prepared to walk away from the coveted role.

Asked if he planned to reprise the part of 007 for a fifth time, Daniel said: ”I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists.

”We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”
