Dannii Minogue admits motherhood has taken its toll on her dress sense.
The Project D fashion designer – who welcomed son Ethan with partner Kris Smith in July 2010 – says that since then, glamorous clothes have become a thing of the past.
She said: ”My wardrobe has gone through massive changes since I became a mum. I used to think, ‘Why do they all look the same?’ The school run uniform was sneakers, T-shirts and scraped-back hair. And then I became a mum and got it.”
During her time on the UK ‘X Factor’, the 40-year-old singer had weekly style-offs with fellow judge Cheryl Cole. But with a little boy to take care of, she says sensible shoes and practical clothes are the way forward for now.
Dannii told Britain’s Glamour magazine: ”There’s no way around it. My day-to-day look is mummy-ish. I just can’t totter around in heels carrying a 30lb baby.
”Flats are the only option when juggling shopping bags and wrestling a stroller. And washable tops when you’re sneezed on, puked on and having food thrown at you.”
